When it comes to digital cameras I'm D.U.M.B. but a floppy disc! Thats a dinosaur in this digi world I know. Do you know about the Uber giveaway contest thats going on right now with the page building? Maybe you can win the Canon 5d. That would be cool. I'd love to see you win it.
Here is a link to a Post on DeviantArt.com that a friend of mine recently put up about camera selection, info for buying and I found it very informative. you should check it out. http://news.devia ntart.com/article /40046/
When it comes to jobs: You should never sell yourself short, because the second you do you'll never get what your worth. And, Unless you ABSOLUTELY need money for rent or bills then don't take just any job. What you should do is find something you like and would want to do and keep going and bugging them till they hire you or call the police!!! LOL.. seriously tho. Never give up! Never give in! And when it comes to getting an expensive camera remember that you can always find a good deal online, ebay or amazon. and while your saving for your gear, do lots of research. Lookup everything and compare everything find out what is better for the style you shoot and what you don't need. Like my lens, I can spend 1200 on one without image stabilization or spend 1600 for one with it. but I never really shoot anything that requires it. I mostly do glam and portraits. and then consider this: My camera cost 1000 dollars when I got it and I've grown beyond its capabilities within a year, however now that I know the ins and outs I can shoot the hell out of it. So anyways... Happy New Year and i wish you godspeed with your camera!
Wow thanks for the compliment. That's actually what I want to do with my life so i'm sort of practicing here. Oh BTW I love your taste in music. It's all over the place.
Well electric guitars have their own purposes... I have one of them as well and it is a great conversation piece!! lol, since buying my Takamine Accoustic I havent had much need for my Gibson sg... But I still play it from time to time... and remember, when you feel like you are brain dead and cant think of what to do next with your photography or any art for that matter, pick up the guitar and play for a bit, just play and sing whatever comes to your mind and it will release whatever blocks you have and refresh you for the course. I do still wish you luck on the pursuit of your camera though. What do you do for work? Or do you go to school full time? tell me about yourself! I have just personally put aside one third of the cash for my next lens. What Im getting at is are you able to save up at all for the camera yourself? Sucks to wait, but the pay off is great!!
No Problemoo I really need to get around to watching "the garden state" it seems like everyone loves it. It's funny how the books you like are the ones they usually force kids to read in my school, but i haven't read them yet. But i think I'm starting catcher of the rye in a few days.
Thanks for the invite & your site is really coming to life. I liked Walking with the Ghost through your gallery & stopping by to look in that magical mirror you have some cool reflection inside. ;-)
